Just refresh r/startups and take a look at the amount of comments on the "I'll critique your copy" thread. I see startup owners struggling with copywriting every single day. That's what the copy around the video should do-to convince people to stay and read more or watch a video.Īnd if you think you've already got the copy, think again (unless you've got experience with that). With a video, you're asking people to invest something like 1 or 2 minutes of their time to watch it.īut why should they? What is their motivation? In these 8 seconds, you've got to capture your visitor's attention and make them stay and read more. The human attention span is about 8 seconds. I'm not saying that you shouldn't use video at all, even though chances that people would watch the entire thing aren't high. On the other hand text costs nothing to edit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not because of the money that you'll spend on a really good one, but because you can send the wrong message.
